Bugyaal is a tribute to the heritage of Uttarakhand, it is an attempt to exhibit the nutritional value of the forgotten foods of Himalayas to the world. We realised that there was a need to revive a dialogue about nutrition, food traditions and make it accessible to the city life. It is a sort of ‘Homecoming of the forgotten foods’ of the region. 

Another reason, that Bugyaal came into existence was to create opportunities for the women artisans and farmers considering the global pandemic, help them build new skills and empower them to be financially independent. These women become the torch bearers of the brand where they lead the way to introduce the world to local produce and the ‘Pahadi way of life’
